CDIIF will accelerate the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and inject confidence and impetus into the high-quality economic development in the Western China.

Seeking opportunities in digital transformation and shaping application scenarios for the new economy

The equipment manufacturing industry is a pillar of great power for a country and the cornerstone of the manufacturing industry. Digitization, networking and intelligence are the key features of a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, constituting a trend of manufacturing innovation and development.

The integration of digital technology and manufacturing is one of the highlights of CDIIF 2021, during which all kinds of application scenarios for the new economy were realized with enterprises, whether international giants, industry benchmark players, or professional, specialized, advanced and innovative SMEs, actively shaping and promoting the digital transformation and embracing new industrial development.

On the second day, Mr. Li Gang, Vice Governor of the Sichuan Province took a delegation to visit CDIIF 2021. He said that Sichuan has formed a modern industrial system with a complete range of categories and a whole structure. With broad market prospects, it should seize opportunities to build a group of leading enterprises, cultivating a batch of specialized, professional, advanced and innovative market players as a way to consolidate the high-quality development and accelerate the integration of Made in Sichuan into domestic and international dual-circulation.

At CDIIF 2021, Siemens brought the first batch of programme praised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as Lighthouse Factory for the improvement on all fronts including speed, flexibility, quality, efficiency and industrial safety with the application of digital twin technology. Beckhoff demonstrated its XPlanar plane magnetic levitation conveying system that can realize flight motions, XTS Track Management which is a technology to change tracks, EtherCAT G technology (the speed up to 10 Gigabit), and innovative software platforms and solutions for IoT, cloud computing and Industry 4.0. Turck demonstrated its equipment and many products including the Q300 gate application solution for the logistics industry, the information acquisition solution with digital sensors based on IO-Link, the cloud-based customized intelligent production solution, and the solution to collect and control digital information installed onto mobile devices.

CDIIF 2021 also set up an exhibition area to show scenarios of digital factories and the ecosystem to help clients better understand solutions, integrate capabilities of exhibitors to form a relatively complete scenario for a digital plant in the most refined structure via an immersive experience of cross-border integration, ecosystem harmonization and scenario interconnection. Visitors can enjoy the simplicity and convenience of digitization by flipping their fingers to scan the QR code to experience the placement of orders to reclaim materials + production, intelligent logistics + equipment management, industrial digitization, and gift collection + group photos.

Pursuing innovative industrial development for cities and accelerating the economic resurrection in the western China

CDIIF 2021 comprises 7 thematic sectors of Industrial Automation, Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool, Metro Transit, Robotics, Energy-saving & Industrial Accessory, Advanced Material Show and Information & Communication Technology, all together showcasing the integrated development for the whole industrial chain, together with five pillar industries at the level of trillion yuan in the Sichuan “5+1” modern industrial pattern, including electronic information, assembly manufacturing, energy and chemical engineering, advanced materials and digital economy.

Five major industrial exhibition groups from Nanchong City, Suining City, Neijiang City, Meishan City and Panzhihua City were made public all together in the Sichuan Industry Pavilion at CDIIF 2021. 176 local enterprises collectively showed their best and most attractive products, demonstrating the potential and capabilities of Made in Sichuan. Achievements of industrial development, including innovative development models, advanced industrial technologies, application achievements and characteristic industrial products in Sichuan are fully revealed to the public.

In the Metro Transit Sector, nearly 70 famous enterprises including CRRC CHENGDU, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, Xinzhu, Sichuan Railway Transportation Investment, Shanghai Shentong Metro, New United, ALSTOM, China Railway Engineering Services, Knorr-Bremse, Yunda Technology, Nanjing Kangni, Tieshan, Longertek, Rockwell, GE General Electric, ABB China, Zhejiang Zhongkong, Chengdu Traffic Control, Beijing Microview, BOE, CASCO, Tangyuan presented the latest development trend and the most advanced manufacturing technologies by showcasing physical objects, processed samples and simulation demonstration of production lines in an interactive manner. Vice Governor Li Gang visited a new type of fully automatic city transit vehicle of 160km/h developed for smart cities by the local R&D team from CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicle, and had been briefed on its highlights of autonomous driving technology and the appearance design with elements from the Sichuan culture. Visitors could not only have a group photo with this cool train, but also experience the simulation driving and have a look of the cockpit. The booth for CRRC Chengdu won special attention for its bigwig product, a real high-speed maglev train at a speed of 600 km/h.

Participants won the fruitful results
